The St Thomas-Elgin Local Immigration Partnership is proud to present the second installment of our ongoing Intercultural Competency training: Effective Intercultural Communication and Best Practices. Facilitated once again by Michele Manocchi from the London Cross Cultural Learner Centre, this event promises to build on the engaging subject matter and conversation produced in the first training session on the Fundamentals of Intercultural Competency.
Covering a range of topics including slang and jargon, the need for intercultural communication skills, and communication styles, attendees can expect to leave the event educated and equipped with the necessary tools to deliver more competent services to individuals of all cultures. Whether ensuring your hiring practices are inclusive of all cultures, or that a new hire feels comfortable in the workplace, to providing a higher quality of social services to clients, or retaining the business of new customers from a wider range of cultural backgrounds, Effective Intercultural Communication and Best Practice offers the skills and cultural awareness required for life in an increasingly multicultural Canada. We sincerely hope that you too will recognize the value in this type of training and join us for an afternoon of education, engagement and fun on January 22, 2019!
