Karen Palmer has been dedicated to supporting refugee resettlement efforts in the community. She worked tirelessly to support the family as they overcame challenges that arose in this major life transition. And if her dedication to this cause isn’t enough, she has also been volunteering weekly to support other newcomers in the community in one of the local English classes. Specifically she has:

• Provided one-on-one language tutoring,
• Arranged health related appointments,
• Assisted with transportation,
• Donated household items,
• Arranged birthday parties for some of the youth.
