At the basis of all of STELIP’s work is the ongoing commitment, support and expertise of our tremendous council members. Comprised of industry leaders from across many local and regional sectors, the council plays a integral role in the continued effectiveness and relevance of STELIP.
As such, STELIP was saddened to learn that two of our most committed members would be leaving us at the end of 2018. Richard Hamilton from the Ontario Ministry of Agricultural, Food & Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) has retired. He had been with the council since 2016, driving all the way from Stoney Creek to attend STELIP meetings (often in the early morning hours) and his contributions were invaluable.
Gerry Moniz, Director of the Central Community Health Centre and a council member since 2014 (and acting Chair since 2017), has consistently been among the most vocally supportive members, contributing his time to several smaller committees in addition to the general council. He will be moving on to a new position within Brant Public Health, and we wish him all the best in his career and personal life.
STELIP sends our most sincere thanks to both of these individuals for their belief in the value of building Welcoming, Caring and Inclusive Communities. You will be missed!
