National Multiculturalism Day is on Saturday, June 27th 2020 and the STELIP team has come up with a few different ways for our community to celebrate, learn, and honour the cultural diversity throughout St. Thomas and Elgin County.

Celebrate with us by:
1. Hanging your cultural flag!
– If you do not have a flag to hang, get creative! We have created this Multiculturalism Day print out for you to showcase your heritage pride.

2. Playing Multiculturalism Bingo!
– Download your game sheet and get ready to hit the streets of St. Thomas & Elgin County to look for cultural significant heritage trees, street names, and flags!

3. Hosting your own Multiculturalism Day celebration!
– Try some new flavours with inspiration from our favourite international BBQ treats while listening to our Culture Lives Here Spotify playlist!

4. Following & sharing the stories of our local immigrant business owners
– STELIP has partnered with the Elgin/St. Thomas Small Business Enterprise Centre for their Newcomer Business Profiles. You can find out more about your favourite local businesses if you head over to our Instagram pages and look at our story highlights!

5. Welcoming Community Video
– STELIP staff, council members and friends were inspired to come together at this time when we are apart. We created this ‘Hello’ video to welcome the different cultures in our community. Watch it here!
